How Much Longer

Is anyone else finding it hard to remove their Kerry/Edwards sign from their front yard? I just can’t bring myself to do it. It seems that a lot of people feel the same way as I still see these signs everywhere.

I feel pathetic and subversive at the same time. It’s an odd combination.

You metafilter idiots are really something else. I refer to the thread where you Mefiers are jumping all over some supposed physics “crank”. Well, I am not qualified to judge his work (even though as a former nuclear plant operator and having a science degree, I know more than a little about it), but I thought you might want to know that the author of that webpage Bibhas R De (as per the copyright notice on the page) has science PhD from UCSD and according to google has a LOT of published papers in peer reviewed journal (see google query below). That looks like another Mefi gaggle of snooty web designers looking down their noses at a bad webpage, when actually they know little about the content. Please post this on the thread, as I cannot, seeing as how Matt Howie dislikes nonconformist political opinions:

Thanks for the comment, Cryofan. So, you are having a hard time taking down your Kerry/Edwards sign too? It’s good to know that there are other people in this world facing the same dilemma.

Oh yeah, if you want to post a comment to Metafilter, it’s easier to do it over there. You can create a new user account here, just like I did. My web site is not a place to post comments you want me to post to Metafilter on your behalf. Especially when I don’t know what the hell you are talking about.

By the way, I slightly edited your comment so the URL you used didn’t break the layout of my page (it was quite long).

i put my kerry edwards sign out with the trash, and the first time the garbage men came, they didn’t pick it up. they left it there, but took all the other trash. i was wondering whether the grabage men were like, “i don’t want that piece of shit in this garbage truck,” or alternatively, “man, i can’t bear to throw that thing away.” i am thinking for some reason it might be the former. damn, bush even had the garbage man vote?

Hey, JK, re-read the post you are commenting on and check the date.

You might also want to spell check “bumbs”, although the well-used quote gets you props in my book.
